Since receiving his first camera at the ripe old age of eight, Konrad Wothe has forged a lifelong love of photography. Many years and photos later Konrad is recognized as one of Germany's top wildlife photographers and his images can be seen in publications throughout the world.

After graduating from high school, Konrad worked as a cameraman for German wildlife filmmaker Heinz Sielman. This experience motivated him to pursue a career as a wildlife fiilmmaker and nature photographer. Like so many excellent wildlife photographers, he credits much of his success to his study of biology and animal behavior which he did at the University of Munich.

Today, Konrad has more than 20 years of experience working as a freelance nature photographer and filmmaker. His work has taken him to all corners of the world and we have had the priviledge of his company on several Photo Safaris including tours to Japan, Honduras, the Sub-Antarctic Islands of Australia and New Zealand, Brazil and throughout North America. The images that appear on this page were taken by Konrad during our 2001 Humpback Whales of Alaska's Inside Passage tour. We hope that you enjoy his work as much as we do!

You can see more of Konrad's images at his web site: www.konrad-wothe.de.
